Description
Asan testing reveals several policy objects (user/connection trackers, stats) that are 'leaked'. This is more by design than by error.
The questions at design time were:
- If a vhost is deleted or redefined by management then should the policy stats and history for that vhost be deleted?
- Should policy and vhost structures be torn down at router exit?
The implementation chose to do neither of these. Now, however, with the asan leaks appearing by the hundreds maybe it is time to revisit policy cleanup.
