Add options to output the resulting LDIF of a batch operation to a file or to the clipboard

    Details

      Description

Directory Studio is great and has many useful features, one of them is the batch operation which allows us to create an LDIF file for modifying many tens of thousands of entries.

The issue is that after creating the LDIF which is actually very fast Directory Studio wants to display the result which can take alot of time when we are dealing with so many entries.

It would be nice if we could tell Directory Studio to pipe the output of an Batch Operation directly to an LDIF file when selecting Generate LDIF, maybe there should be an option Generate LDIF to file?

        Great idea.
Let me edit the summary and add an option to copy the resulting LDIF to the clipboard too.

Here's how the "Finish" page of the wizard looks like.

        • Execute on the connection
        • Continue on error
        • Generate in LDIF format
        • In the LDIF Editor
        • In a file
        • In the clipboard
