      Description

Currently in XDBM a Long is used for the entry ID. I suggest to use a generic type parameter <ID> instead. Background is that different partition implementations could use different IDs. My concrete requirement is that I want to use UUID (entryUUID) for the HBase partition I'm experimenting with.

I agree fully with this maneuver. It was the next step at using global identifiers that work outside of the partition. Makes sense as something that will be needed for a distributed partition backed by HBase.
