      Description

This is more of a general issue for the whole of the Jakarta projects.

Every project publishes the MD5 sums of the tarballs/zip files. These
are used in a simple integrity verification process.

      For 'digester',

      http://www.apache.org/dist/jakarta/commons/digester/binaries/commons-digester-1.6.tar.gz.md5

      yields the md5sum only:

      74c787cb8b7493dd19f83bf34db41543

It might be advantageous to show the combination of "md5sum + file name"
output by md5sum instead, like this:

      74c787cb8b7493dd19f83bf34db41543 commons-digester-1.6.tar.gz

This would make it easier to check the md5sum on the downloading side by
      a simple copy/paste, as "md5sum --check" expects an "md5sum + file name"
      on stdout.

This format is used by "commons daemon" for example,

      http://www.apache.org/dist/jakarta/commons/daemon/binaries/commons-daemon-1.0.tar.gz.md5

      yields

      bcf04fbc9c3f574fc67611bf59704927 commons-daemon-1.0.tar.gz

The MD5 files are actually generated by hand. The old release procedure document
explicitly stated that the filename part should be deleted after generating the
        md5 sum output.

I agree the filename should be there, so have updated the release procedure
document. Hopefully new releases of commons components will therefore have the
        filename in them.
