Excellent! And many thanks for tracking this down, John. I'm glad the Maven folks set this up. It's good to know that no extra effort is necessary on our part to deploy for Maven 2. I'll update our release instructions to reflect this.

It would be good if this were documented somewhere, perhaps on their FAQ for other projects: http://maven.apache.org/project-faq.html

Andrew, the Maven 2 POMs are auto generated from the Maven 1 POMs, so you were doing it all along with out knowing it

        Hi John,

No, I haven't. This request originally referred to the 10.1.2.1 jars, and now I see that the 10.1.3.1 jars are now in the maven 2 repository at ibiblio!

I searched on people.apache.org and couldn't find the 10.1.3.1 jars in any expected location for mirroring for maven. It would be very nice to find out a) who is publishing these to ibiblio and b) get the Maven 2 poms for Derby contributed back to Derby so that we can take care of publishing the jars to the Maven 2 repository as part of our release process.

Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about Maven 2. I'm not even sure where to look on the Apache servers for the jars that get mirrored to ibiblio. Any assistance you can provide with discovering the origin of the jars on ibiblio or with instructions on including publishing the jars to a Maven 2 repository as a part of our release process will be greatly appreciated.

        Thank you,
        andrew

Andrew, did you end up finding out who created the 10.1.3.1 poms ?

        Thanks,
        John

It's great that someone posted the Derby jars to a maven 2 repository. I've been hoping that a Derby user would update the Maven poms that we have and contribute them back.

BUT, who did this? It wasn't a member of the Derby community. It would be really nice if we could find out who posted these to ibiblio, or where they are being mirrored from, since it does not appear to be from any of the usual locations on people.apache.org or www.apache.org. It makes me curious about the authenticity of these jars, since we have no idea where they actually came from.

It would also be nice if the Maven 2 POMs were contributed back to Derby so that the Derby team could take care of future distributions to Maven 2 repositories.
