Description

On any JDK except Sun JDK 1.5, the encodingTests suite fails with errors simliar to the following:

      Test Failed.

The cause of these failures in the encoding tests, which set -Dfile.encoding=

{encoding}

, needs to be investigated to ensure the proper behavior of Derby and the Derby tests on platforms with non-ASCII native encodings.
