I can do this if you want, as it's a pretty simple task (good for greenhorns like me). If you could reply with which operations you'd like to be screen shot, or I can take a number of them and upload them for your perusal.
thanks for offering help! I think we could do with some shots of the most common tasks, browsing/creating dbs & docs, editing views, running the test suite and replication, but feel free to do what you feel like looks good
5 screen shots of various futon tools and pages.
Jacob, the shots looks quite decent, thanks! Now who's going to put them on the site?
Actually I'd prefer screenshots where the top bar looks right. There's some issue with the fonts/sizes on Firefox on Linux/Gnome/whatever that "breaks" it, although it works nicely on all other browsers and platforms I tested.
I'll redo the screen shots in Opera as I only have Linux + GNOME.
If I was given access and showed how I could take care of putting them up and any other site work.
I like the way that OS X takes screenshots, with the minimal window decoration and lovely drop shadow.
If we're not going to use OS X for this though, I would prefer that we at least used a free software browser.
Jacob: We can't give you write access directly, but you can check out the site's source at http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/incubator/couchdb/site/ and send in patches.
Since the new docs have Futon screenshots, I think we can close this.
Will be included in bundled doc releases in future.
