Investigating CLIENTPROTOCOLEXCEPTION when using 2.10 with ES 6.x.y

Fails when using security , i.e. http://user:password@elasticsearch:9200.

Remedy:

1. Disable x-pack security.
2. Use http://elasticsearch:9200.
