    Description

      Hello,

I have found issue in our environment CloudStack 4.2 + vmware 5.1 which was described in https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CLOUDSTACK-3234

That issue is still present and not fixed.

      How to reproduce this issue:

      • Create VM in CloudStack
      • Select that VM in CloudStack and click to 'Take VM snapshot'
      • Try to reboot VM (you will be succeed with this and VM will be started)
      • if you 'Stop' VM from CloudStack UI
      • and then 'Start' VM

You will see error in VMware:

      • Invalid configuration for device '0'
      • Cannot remove virtual disk from the virtual machine because it or one of its parent disks is part of a snapshot of the virtual machine.

And this issue in CS UI:
Unable to create a deployment for VM[User|vm-test]

If we remove created snapshot from CS. VM can start.
