Description

CASSANDRA-11471 adds support for SASL mechanism negotitation to the native protocol. Existing Authenticators should follow the SASL negotiation mechanism used in CASSANDRA-11471 .

It may make sense to make the SASL negotiation mechanism extensible so other Authenticators can use it.
