Description

Acceptance criteria:

1. pubsub integration can send and receive messages on GKE when using workload identity to authenticate to Google services

Background

Quoting from docs:

Workload Identity is the recommended way to access Google Cloud services from applications running within GKE due to its improved security properties and manageability.

Testing

Testing is difficult, as the changes should only work in "real" environment (GKE in this instance).
