Major Description
That's an LSB implementation issue in RHEL/CentOS < 5.6. Not all parameters were implemented and there was a bug in the parameter parsers which make it loop forever on unknown parameters.
So You may have to replace the start_daemon lsb function by something else like su + bash -c
