Description
Hi!
I'm using BeanUtils to copy properties from one bean to another. When it copies
from String to boolean it should know that S means true ('sim' = 'yes' in
portuguese) and N means false ('não' = 'no' in portuguese).
So I was wondering to extend the BooleanConverter to use the existing
functionality adding one more check as specified above but it's not possible. I
don't want to recompile the entire bean-utils package as I want to be free to
upgrade to new releases without worry. And I don't want to do what I'm doing
now: I copied the entire BeanConverter logic, adding the new chars to the If
statement.
So what I'm asking to remove the final qualifier from the converter classes so
they can be subclassed.
If needed I can create the patches, just let me know.
Daniel
