      Ok, I added the notice using search and replace on the live site, plus a final entry to the news list.
      Also attaching a diff (1a) with my changes.

      That's okay. I add a <div> block via a perl script to the top of the HTML files.

      Something along the lines of

      find . -type f | xargs grep '<body' | grep -v '>'

      to check and then:

      perl -pi -e 's!(<body[^>]*>)Unable to render embedded object: File ( red"><h1>2009/04/15 - Apache HiveMind has been retired. </h1><h2>For more information, please explore the <a href="http://attic.apache.org/">Attic</a>. </h2></div>) not found.' index.html

      to change. YMMV etc, I don't know what the OJB HTML looks like.

      I'm thinking of simply adding the notice manually to the main HTML files directly (on ppl). Is that okay?
      (I also had a quick look at how to generate the site from source, but it wasn't too tempting to continue down that road).
