Description

Currently, users are allowed to specify the storage root directory name before instance creation. Due to this, each node has to maintain another file with a fixed name (root_metadata) to store the name of the storage directory that was used in instance creation. Maintaining this (root_metadata) file adds an overhead without much added value to the user. Therefore, it would be better to have a fixed storage root directory name (storage) and eliminate the need to maintain and look up the (root_metadata) file.
