It would be great to have updated installations to build the pyarrow project.

Note that pip install will only work after the next Arrow release.
Is pip install available in the current release? pip install complains that it is not able to find pyarrow distribution.
I know that Uwe L. Korn is still working on it. I recommend installing with conda for now
conda install pyarrow -c conda-forge

Aravindh Varadharaju The wheel is just waiting for the first release of parquet-cpp. Then I'll upload Linux wheels to PyPI. OSX wheels will come with 0.3 which should hopefully land end of the month.
