The perforamnce of 1.3 is less than 50% of that of 1.2 version.
On a small windows test platform ActiveMQ 1.2 is producing about 1024 messages per second and consuming the same. About 2000 msgs per second on a single processor.
ActiveMQ 1.3 dropped into the same environment averages 472 msgs pers second or about 900 msgs produced/consumed on the same processor. While that figure is still good performance it is a significant loss.
