Description

Design attached : (work in progress)

Requirements:

• Master (Metrics Collector) : ATS + embedded HBASE (manage all daemons as a part of the master)
• Slave (Host Monitor) : Host monitor daemon that replaces gmond and sends metrics to the server.
• No client: Deploy the hadoop metrics sink jar along with the Salve.
• Configuration:
  • Configure hadoop-metric2.properties, hadoop-metrics2-hbase.properties
  • Configure metrics monitor and metrics groups (See design doc)
  • Additional changes to yarn-site based on ATS changes.
