Description

Tablet servers get told to analyze bulk files and hand them to other bulk importers. Every time it succeeds, it clears the tablet location cache.

On our large system, we load thousands of bulk files. After every cache clear, the zookeeper needs to be consulted, followed by the root tablet, followed by the metadata tablet. This is putting a great deal of pressure on some constrained resources, especially the root tablet.
