Description
Presently, the thrift script simply prints out a message and quits when thrift isn't available.
What it should do is exit with an error code, because the profile to run thrift was enabled explicitly.
It should also fail if the thrift code generation fails in any way, but I think those conditions are already handled.
see:
core/src/main/scripts/generate-thrift.sh
(the other thrift generation scripts in other modules reference this one)
