Hi

The attached FO file which generates a good PDF file does not generate a good RTF file.
When opening in Word 2003/2007 it produces only empty pages.

Well not really empty, it seems that the text is there, but invissible.

The PDF generated is 4 pages, but when openign in word it produces lots more pages.

It is documented that the RTF output is not suitable for more complex document.
http://xmlgraphics.apache.org/fop/0.95/output.html#rtf
While your document doesn't look complex at first glance, it actually is for FOP. Please try simplifying the document. The top-level table with only one column simply makes no sense to have around. Just remove it and the document will appear fine in Word.

Of course, it might be possible to improve the RTF output. But unless you do that yourself it's unlikely that anything will happen soon. RTF is a horrible format. Time would be better spent generating OpenDocument if a editable format should be generated.
