I am running my fop on a HP box with iplanet. the web page has 2 frames. the 1'st frame has links to other pages. the second frame if used to display the contents of jsp's and fop generated pdf files. step 1) i click on a button that shows me the pdf document using fop. step 2) i go to a different page using the links in frame 1. step 3) i click on the browser back button and try to return to the pdf page. the pdf is not visible (because the history.go(-1) will not send a request to the iplanet server). PROBLEM: ------- if i click on any one of the links, a new browser window pops open with the link page. a new window should not open. this is a bug.
I dont understand what makes you think this is a bug in FOP? The problem appears to be in your servlet environment. FOP knows nothing about servlets or web servers it merely generates a PDF from XSL-FO upon request. You are going to have to provide more evidence/explanations if you want to convince me this is a bug with FOP.
