First question: what version of Tomcat-Native (tcnative-1.dll) you are using. Right-click on the tcnative-1.dll file, select "Properties". There should be "Version" tab in the file properties dialog. As you are using Tomcat 6.0.14, which is 2,5 years old, there are good chances that the issue that you are observing is fixed in a later version of Tomcat / TC-Native. Your stacktrace looks similar to the one in https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=42104#c0 Marking as NEEDINFO - waiting for tc native version The version of tc native i am using is 1.1.16.0 Please try with the latest version of tc Native which is 1.1.20. Moving to Native What does it happen? At shutdown? Probably something like: +++ Index: java/org/apache/coyote/http11/Http11AprProcessor.java =================================================================== --- java/org/apache/coyote/http11/Http11AprProcessor.java (revision 1601) +++ java/org/apache/coyote/http11/Http11AprProcessor.java (working copy) @@ -1027,6 +1027,13 @@ */ public void action(ActionCode actionCode, Object param) { + if (!endpoint.isRunning()) { + if (log.isDebugEnabled()) { + log.debug("action " + actionCode.getCode() + + " attempted on closed endpoint"); + } + socket = 0; + } if (actionCode == ActionCode.ACTION_COMMIT) { // Commit current response +++ Could prevent the problem. The real issue is that pause() / stop() doesn't test that there are running requests.... Resolving this on the basis that the theory is that this happened during shutdown and that I cannot reproduce this with the latest 1.2.x release and the latest release of a supported Tomcat version. If this isn't happening during shutdown or if it can be produced with current versions please feel free to re-open and provide the steps necessary to reproduce it. |
