Description

As discussed on struts-dev list, here is an enhancement request to init dialogs
by a programmatic way.

Here is my email to struts-dev:

Is it possible to a login page (w/ j_security) and after sucessfull login do
*forward* to my "Go" dialog?

Or do I have to provide a "hello press that button" pages (e.g.
<h:commandButton action="dialog:Go" .../>)
*after* a user logs into that application?

Created an attachment (id=17549)
phaselistener to invoke a dialog, without clicking on a button/link

A phaselistener is attached, which allows you to invoke the dialog stuff,
without clicking on a commandbutton or a commandLink.

You simply configure this listener inside of your faces-confg.xml and create a
jsp, which contains jsf:forward Tag.

For page attribute you are using the *special* mapping for this listener and
the name of your dialog

eg.
page="initdialog/MyDialog.faces"

This is similar to the remoting phaselistener

The current shale-dialog code includes an alternative mechanism for programmatically starting a dialog, but it seems to meet the use case requirements that prompted this issue. Therefore, I'm declaring it as fixed.
