Description

One challenge I have been having is to exactly identify the version we built Zeppelin.
I think everyone would benefit from having a REST API that complements Zeppelin version and adds git info.
I suggest a new REST (GET) API :
http://[zeppelin-server]:[zeppelin-port]/api/git
That returns latest commit id and latest commit time-stamp info.
I'll use Maven plugin "git-commit-id-plugin" to achieve this.
