Description
The Autocompleter in Tapestry 4.1 has some serious problems mostly related to input validation:
- If you type a valid (or invalid) value and submit the form before the dropdown appears, the form submits successfully and the original value is used instead of the value entered.
- If you are using a required validator and enter an invalid value and allow the dropdown to appear before submitting the form, you get a validation error but your input is lost. I would expect the invalid value to be stored in the validation delegate and redisplayed to the user like any other field would.
