Missing Forward Slash in data-config.xml Makes Entities Disappear

    Description

      I mistakenly created an entity that had the following fields:

      <field column="id" name="id" />
      <field column="description" name="blah">

      In the second field, I forgot the trailing forward slash to end the tag. There were no warnings or errors in the log, but the list of entities for the core was blank. It took me a while to figure out that this was probably why.
