Release Note

Avro Storage compression codec can be specified by setting properties mapred.output.compress to "true" and avro.output.codec to the desired codec name. Deflate is the default codec.

Description

Currently it's only possible to specify deflate - it would be useful to be able to specify Snappy, which Avro now supports.
