Description

METRON-623 introduces a new user interface for configuring parsers. Many common parser configuration tasks are covered but some parser can benefit from a custom editor made specifically for that parser. The GrokParser is a good example of this: a special Grok statement editor is included that only applies to that parser.

New parsers could also benefit from having a custom editor. There should be a way for contributors to bundle a custom editor in addition to custom parser classes. This extension point should be well defined and documented (with examples) and not require detailed knowledge of the whole management UI architecture.

I suspect the outcome of METRON-258 will also influence this design.
