Description

Upgrading from 0.20.204.0 to 0.20.205.0-SNAPSHOT, the TaskTrackers refused to start because the cleanup failed. I was able to start the task trackers by deleting the mapred localdirs across the cluster.

I was running with the linux task controller and security turned on.
