Description

I'm creating this separate issue related to IMPALA-4047 to track removal of the CDH_MAJOR_VERSION variable from the following files:

bin/impala-config.sh
bin/start-impala-cluster.py
testdata/cluster/admin
tests/comparison/cluster.py

Where the variable is used to parameterize a configuration path (e.g. cdh$CDH_MAJOR_VERSION the config path shall be renamed to remove the string 'cdh'.
