Description

BlockStateChange logs are usually suppressed in production to avoid the performance impact. It is often useful to enable them for troubleshooting but the verbosity of the logs slows down the NameNode.

It would be good to have an option to send BlockStateChange logs to an alternate async appender to limit the performance impact. There would be no change to the default behavior.
