Description I guess it should be based on the current user's roles - i.e., the user/groups passed in to hdfsConnectAsUser()
in this way, libhdfs supports the posix method access(path)

Summary libhdfs should implement posix access(path, mode) function libhdfs should expose the acess permissions for the connected user from hdfs
