    Description

      Once we have mechanisms for collecting and reporting client-side metrics (HBASE-12911), it would be useful to make these metrics available to client applications. That way application developers can make use of them in their own applications and reporting infrastructures. For instance, HBASE-10791 could be implemented to consume these metrics instead of doing the monitoring itself.
