These are a whole group of HowTos that I wrote for my local users (probably a tutorial would be a better format). They are not complete, nor tidied at this point, but they cover a lot of basic step-by-step stuff specifically geared towards Linux with Gnome desktop and Windows XP. Figured I would put them out there so we can pull out bits we may want to use.

Created a site our of these docs in order to make it easier for us to review them.

I've done nothing to the docs yet (other than fix a few validation errors). I've glanced over the content and it looks like there is some useful stuff in here, but it needs ot be integrated into our docs and the content needs to be verified.

Where exactly did you create the site to make it easier to review them? URL please?

I have looked at these a while ago. As Addi advises, there are some sections that could be incorporated into our docs. Some of it is too verbose for us, for example we shouldn't need to explain how to install Java, but that is relevant for Addi's usergroup purpose. Someone could extract the relevant sections and the skinconf-ref.xml is useful to explain current configuration system. No-one has managed to do that, yet so scheduling it for 0.9
