 Description  « Hide
The locationmap gives us the ability to specify where sources are, both for Forrest and for the users.

Beware that it will not work for raw files that are not linked, as this "feature" currently uses a fixed dir being being copied by Ant.

Can we have more info on this issue?

Nicola Ken Barozzi added a comment - 23/Oct/04 11:24 PM
Sure. The locationmap is an inputmodule that uses a file to associate files to request values. In essence, it gives the name of the source file to use to generate the requested file. The problem will he with non-linked files, which cannot be easily copied with Ant.

Here's the patch for the branch as discussed in: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=forrest-dev&m=111816658120183&w=2
- Allows site.xml to be defined in locationmap.xml
- Allows tabs.xml to be defined in locationmap.xml
- Has a quick fix for the exists selector issue that is discussed in the above email until a real fix can be figured out.

Here's the patch to make resources resolvable through locationmaps. I'll keep testing this as I go along.

It's really a subtask of the major FOR-200. Hopefully "is part of" is the correct link type.
