Description
The Config Group Management popup is currently showing:
"Manage configuration groups of this service. Groups can be created, renamed and deleted and from here. Host memberships can also be changed. A host can belong to only one configuration group."
A bit of rewording to:
- remove redundancy with the header
- explicitly state that the configuration group being referred to is specific to the service in question
- explicitly state that hosts in a service config group have the same set of configs for the service in question
"You can apply different sets of <service-name> configurations to groups of hosts by managing <service-name> Configuration Groups and their host membership. Hosts belonging to a <service-name> Configuration Group have the same set of configurations for <service-name>. Each host belongs to one <service-name> Configuration Group."
Also, the pop up for managing the host membership has the description displayed in a non-standard layout. We should make that consistent by using an appropriate background (see attached). Also reword this a bit...
Original: "Select hosts that should belong to this configuration group. Configurations for these hosts will be overridden from the default values."
New: "Select hosts that should belong to this <service-name> Configuration Group. All hosts belonging to this group will have the same set of <service-name> configurations."
Another popup that should be revised is the one that comes up upon clicking the "Override" link on a config property to select an existing config group or to create a new one.
This is a bit confusing because the popup talks about config groups, but it's not clear that we are talking about a service-specific config group.
