in the rare case when the *very* last inline object is a footnote-marker (and may be the previous footnote-body is long) the footnote-body of the last footnote is moved to the next page and the footnote-marker in the footnote-region is lost. The word to which the footnote belonges is on page 7 the footnote-body itself on page 8.

The fact that the footnote-body is moved to the next page is in itself not an error, this may happen if there is not enough space left on the current page. Undesirable, maybe, but compliant nonetheless... Thanks for supplying the testcase, but from where I'm sitting, this simply looks like a case of the first footnote being moved partly to the next page. There is no requirement in this case to repeat the marker, I believe.
