Because the jakarta-tomcat-connectors-jk2-2.0.4-src/jk/native2/configure script is looking for libapr as a .so library instead of .dylib for libapr, configure fails. Mac OS uses .dylib for dynamic libraries. See jakarta-tomcat-connectors- jk2-2.0.4-src/jk/native2/configure lines 18730-18738 and 18927-18935.
Can you please suggest a patch and attach it to this bugzilla item?
I've changed the priorty to Normal, because this is certainly not a Blocker. I tend to think it's not major either, as I haven't seen complaints. But anyways, if you submit a patch I'll be glad to review and commit it: I want this to work on the Mac as well, but don't have the MacOS knowledge myself to do it. And apparently no one else cares that much, as it's been more than a month now since this issue was submitted.
