Hai, am new to AMQ, i just downloaded AMQ 5.0 and i installed all the dependent packages like JAVA, and ANT,

which i try to startup active mq as per the instruction like.

c:/activemq/bin> activemq

i got the following error

loading message broker from : xbean : activemq.xml
Failed to execute main task . Reason : java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError : org/apache/activemq/broker/BrokerFactory

If you just began using ActiveMQ, I highly suggest that you use a newer version. ActiveMQ 5.0 had many bugs and is more than one year old whereas 5.1 is far more stable and 5.2 was just released within the last couple weeks.
